Starting off as the Hari Penyelidikan FKM 2011, for the year 2015, the event was renamed as the Mechanical Engineering Research Day to give a more global image.
Once again in 2016, MERD'16 will be organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKM) in association with the Centre for Advanced Research on Energy (CARe) of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), which will take place at Kampus Teknologi, UTeM, Melaka on 31 March 2016.
The objective is for the scientists, scholars, researchers and students from UTeM to present their findings of original research work. The other objective is to introduce and promote the UTeM research activities in the scientific field of mechanical engineering through poster presentations and publications, to offer mentoring through senior researchers/scientists, and to foster the building of networks through the informal style of the event.
All accepted 2-pages extended abstracts will be published in the proceeding with e-ISBN, which will be indexed in Google Scholar. In addition, the proceedings will also be submitted to Thomson Reuters (formerly known as ISI) Conference Proceedings Citation Index™ for indexing consideration in Web of Science® coverage.
Authors with accepted extended abstracts may proceed with the submission of full-length paper (optional) for possible publication in special issue of Scopus indexed journal [click here].
